Why Choose Hispanic Studies?

Wright State’s Hispanic Studies graduate certificate provides an in-depth study of the Spanish language and Iberian and Latin American literature, film, business, written and oral expression, history, and phonetics.

In this program, you will:

  • Advance your understanding of Spanish language and literature in a global context
  • Further writing and research skills appropriate to professional use
  • Achieve a near-native mastery of the Spanish language as well as a nuanced understanding of cultural practices of the Spanish-speaking world.

This certificate is suitable for graduate students wishing to meet requirements to teach Spanish or College Credit Plus courses in Ohio. This certificate also will provide currently licensed Ohio teachers the means to obtain the credentials to teach College Credit Plus courses in Spanish in Ohio. The courses are designed to provide rich cultural and literary content in the target language, reflecting the diversity of the Spanish-speaking world.
