Study health communication at Wright State and contribute to health promotion in patient-family communication, health message and campaigns, health in mass media, public health, and technology and health. You will work your way through a curriculum of theory, research, and application that addresses health issues across the spectrum of interpersonal, cultural, organizational, public relations, and mass-mediated contexts. Add this minor to your current major; a wide variety of majors may seek careers within health fields.
The ability to clearly and effectively communicate is an asset for any career field. This program emphasizes communication through various channels including interpersonal, organizational, and even social media.
Past students have interned at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the Dayton Dragons, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Cox Media, Central Intelligence Agency, religious organizations, and hospitals.
