Please join the Department of Urban Affairs and Geography in welcoming our newest faculty member, Instructor Jenn Titanski-Hooper, starting Fall 2016!
What should you know about Jennifer Titanski-Hooper?
- PhD Candidate in Geography at The Pennsylvania State University; along with an MA in Geography from West Virginia University and a BS in Social Studies Education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
- Her husband and her big fluffy cat will be joining her here at Wright State.
- Her current research in political geography includes:
- Her dissertation research on the lived experience of Croatia’s 2013 transition to the European Union in farmer’s markets in Zagreb
- Working papers on the acquittal of Croatian war veterans and war veteran protests for better benefits
- In 2011 and 2012, she was awarded Foreign Language Area Studies Grants (FLAS) to study the Croatian language, and in 2012-2013, she was awarded a Fulbright Research fellowship to live and study in Zagreb, Croatia for a year.
- In the last several years, she has taught courses in human-environment interactions, cultural geography, political geography, and urban geography.
She will teach these 3 courses this fall:
- GEO 2200 Human Geography (T R, 5:00-6:20 pm)
- GEO 2210 Nonwestern Human Environments (MWF, 9:05-10:00 am and 11:15-12:10 pm)
- GEO 3300 World Regional Geography (MWF, 1:25-2:20 pm)
