The Arabic Language Club field trip to the West Chester Mosque

The Arabic Language Club officers and members recently attended and observed the Jumma prayer on Friday, March 28, 2014. Students of Arabic also participated in the outing, and were required to observe the rules of Islamic dress by wearing modest clothing. The women were also required to cover their hair. The Ahmad Samawi Mosque, which belongs to the Islamic Society of Greater Cincinnati, hosted the Arabic Club and students and provided a tour guide. In addition to the members of the Arabic Language Club, Professor Amira Ben-Amer Orr and Professor Aicha El-Yamani were also in attendance.
