On December 10, 2016, twenty Chinese teachers came to Wright State University to attend the 8th annual Ohio Association of Teachers of Chinese (OATC) Dayton/Cincinnati Regional Meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Department of Modern Languages at Millett Hall 401 from 10 am to 3 pm. Dr. Maan Broadstock and Professor Haili Du have organized this event at Wright State since 2011. Dr. Broadstock and five other local Chinese teachers shared their effective teaching strategies, foreign language pedagogy theory and practice, and useful resources with the audience. Everyone also brought an authentic Chinese dish to share for lunch. All the Chinese teachers were very pleased with the facilities at Wright State and appreciated this opportunity to connect with other local Chinese teachers to form a friendly community to support each others.
