Farewell to Layne Crawford

Layne Crawford, long time Modern Languages Administrative Support Coordinator, will be retiring on December 31, 2015. 

Layne was born in Houston, Texas, and went to university in Texas, Utah, Hawaii and ultimately here in Dayton.  She was hired by former Chair, David Garrison, on June 28, 2006, a year after she had received her B.A. in Spanish from Wright State.  In 2007, she married Dr. David Orenstein, Professor emeritus in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.  She has had quite the career in the Department of Modern Languages.  When she started, there were only 14 full-time
