Chinese New Year party

The Dayton Association of Chinese Americans, in cooperation with the Wright State University Chinese Students and Scholars Association and the University Center for International Education, hosted the 2016 Chinese New Year celebration for the Dayton Chinese community.  This event was held in the Apollo Room at the Student Union on February 21, 2016.  Over 300 people came to celebrate the last day of the traditional New Year festival.   The celebration included traditional songs and dances, a fashion show, skits, and games.  WSU students enrolled in Chinese languages courses also participated in the celebration.  They sang the 2008 Beijing Olympic theme song "You and Me" and performed a popular Chinese dance, "Little Apple".  Students enjoyed practicing their Chinese language skills and immersing themselves in this rich cultural event.
