Award-winning Story Published

Irvin, who retired from full-time teaching at the high school level to pursue her writing goals, enjoys her classes in the Department of Modern Languages. She would be pleased and humbled if university colleagues and students would order the anthology to support an endeavor that supports writers. “Sometimes we who don’t write novels are judged as less credible than those who do. When Alice Munro received the Nobel Prize for her work,” Irvin says, “it validated the importance of the short story and of all who work with the form.”
