Dr. Karen Lahm will become the director of the Crime and Justice Studies program effective August 1, 2015. Dr. Lahm comes to the position with prior administrative experience as the director of the Applied Behavioral Sciences graduate program from 2010-2013, and she has served as both an advisor for the Crime and Justice Studies Program and as a member of the program committee. Her teaching includes courses in research methods, statistics, penology, victimology, deviant behavior, and criminological theory, and her research centers on prisons and the correctional system. Dr. Lahm earned her PhD from the University of Kentucky in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology and Quantitative Methods.
