Jamie Jaggers, a senior majoring in Crime and Justice Studies, is completing her internship with the United States Probation Office. One of the interesting parts of her internship, shown in the photo, involved a recent meeting with the Judges to prepare for the specialized Federal Reentry Court session.
Crime and Justice Studies majors are required to complete an internship through one of three departments: Political Science, Sociology/Anthropology or Urban Affairs and Geography. Jamie selected SOC 3000, which is a graded course. It involves written assignments, weekly logs and150 clock hours with an approved agency.
