Wright State and the Dayton Art Institute’s Humanities in Action Summer Program

Discover how the study of the humanities and arts interfaces with STEM—and how they equip you with vital skills to tackle real-world challenges and enrich your career paths. Our Summer Scholars program helps you prepare for college on the Wright State campus, at the Dayton Art institute, and at other sites around Dayton. Participate in interactive learning experiences based on four modern themes: environment, culture, war and peace, and Artificial Intelligence.

Earn FREE College Credit

Summer Scholars earn 3 college credit hours in the liberal arts from Wright State University—free of charge! Lunch, limited transportation, and course materials are provided as well. First-year students entering Wright State in Summer or Fall 2025 also receive $125 scholarships to cover fees (Rising high school seniors are exempt from fees).

  • Is there a cost for the textbook used in this course?

    No. Readings are provided free of charge.

  • Will this class meet in person or online, or hybrid?

    In person only.

  • Will I receive any charges or a bill for participating in this program?

    No, except for parking. First-year students will have the option of waiving any additional fees that normally apply.
