An undergraduate minor in English can boost your employability by complementing your professional training with excellent writing, reasoning, and speaking skills and giving you the cultural capital to engage with people from all walks of life. Humanities study will enrich your personal life as well. If you enjoy reading and writing or encountering other cultures, speak to your advisor or contact the Department of English Language and Literatures to learn about our minor and certificate programs.

An internship is required for the minor. Most students are placed in area ESL programs. Internship supervisors must have a Master of Arts degree in TESOL.
