Drawing from Perception is a national juried drawing exhibition organized by Wright State University’s Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries and Department of Art and Art History. Its aim is to highlight the finest contemporary examples of drawing from direct observation using traditional media.

Sculptor Donates Drawings to Stein Galleries

Nationally-known sculptor and installation artist Loren Madsen has donated eight drawings to the Robert & Elaine Stein Galleries. The works were made in 1980 as preparatory drawings for Madsen’s site-specific installation “Floating Cross” completed in our galleries the same year.

FRAMEWORK: Drawings and Prints of the CAC Construction on view in the Stein Galleries September 1.

FRAMEWORK: Drawings and Prints of the CAC Construction will be on display September 1 through November 15, 2015 in the Robert & Elaine Stein Galleries.

Selections from the Robert & Elaine Stein's permanent collection are on rotation throughout the academic year. Starting September 6, we will be featuring Chuck Close, Lucian Freud, Rosemary Beck, and others.
