Date and Overview

December 10, 2022
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wright State Dayton Campus

The Wright State Saxophone Festival is open to all middle and high school saxophonists. This year's festival will give students the opportunity to create music, in small and large ensembles, as well as attend masterclasses to learn more about the saxophone. This event will be happening on campus where masks are mandatory. You will also get a chance to work with members of the Wright State University Saxophone Studio in classes specializing in performance on soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone. The festival will conclude with a performance from 3:30—5 p.m., showcasing the students' hard work and new skills they have learned. Before the final performance, there will be a raffle where students can win prizes from attending vendors.

The first annual Saxophone Quartet Festival was hosted at Wright State University in 2005. The festival was such a success that it has become a much-anticipated annual event and continues to evolve with expanding opportunities for participants. This year's festival will be a place where all come to learn, create music, and stay safe!
