Festival Overview

October 12–13, 2025
Creative Arts Center, Wright State University

The Wright State University School of Fine and Performing Arts Choral Department is proud to present its annual Wright State Choral Festival, formerly known as the Mad River Vocal Arts Festival. This two-day event features a select honor choir composed of high school singers from all over the state and region. Students will gather for rehearsal, concerts, and clinics, which will culminate in a performance in Wright State's Schuster Hall on Monday, October 13, at 7:30 p.m. The festival will be conducted by our Director of Choral Studies, Dr. Adam Kluck and our featured clinician, and students will have opportunities to work with other Wright State vocal faculty members throughout the event.

This year, we welcome acclaimed composer and conductor Ryan Main! Ryan Main’s compositions are performed internationally and featured at American Choral Directors Association conferences, All-State festivals, Carnegie Hall, and stages around the world. As a composer, Ryan regularly engages with choirs and music educators as the guest artist and featured clinician for professional conferences and festivals throughout the U.S. as a composer, director, and clinician.
