Festival Overview

October 13-14, 2024
Creative Arts Center, Wright State University

The Wright State University School of Fine and Performing Arts – Choral Department is proud to present its annual Wright State Choral Festival, formerly known as the Mad River Vocal Arts Festival. This two-day event features a select honor choir composed of high school singers from all over the state and region. Students will gather for rehearsal, concerts, and clinics which will culminate in a performance in Wright State's Schuster Hall on Monday, October 14 at 6:00 p.m. The festival will be conducted by our Director of Choral Studies, Dr. Nathan Nagir, and students will have opportunities to work with other Wright State vocal faculty members throughout the event.

This year we welcome Dr. Suzanne Pence, Associate Professor of Music and Human Learning at The University of Texas at Austin. Read more about Dr. Pence.
