The Wright State University School of Music is proud to host its first annual Fall String Festival for high school students, October 24–26, 2019. This event will showcase the wealth of young performing talent in the Dayton area.
The Wright State University School of Music is proud to host its first annual Fall String Festival for high school students, October 24-26, 2019, This event will showcase the wealth of young performing talent in the Dayton area.
Students will gather for three days of coachings and rehearsals, and hey will perform with the WSU Chamber Orchestra alongside faculty and students of the School of Music. Faculty members will coach students in sectionals, and Dr. Leung will conduct the Chamber Orchestra rehearsals and concert in a program featuring music for string orchestra.
This festival will also include a concerto competition. Students auditioning for the competition need to perform from memory a movement of a concerto. At the discretion of the judges, the winner may have the opportunity to perform with the WSU Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dr. Cha.

The registration fee is $50 and is non-refundable.
