I first encountered this work by Brandon Jacob Jenkins as an actor with Available Light Theater in Columbus Ohio. The first thing to strike me about the play was its humor. There was a lightness in how it delt with its heavy subject matter. The second thing was its frank honesty. As the usher says at the beginning, "…Talking about death as well all know, can be difficult." Hopefully this play can help make the conversation a bit easier.
This play is about life. The living of it and the leaving of it. It is a game none of us chose to play, but play we must. The best we can dream for is that it will be at its very least…a fun game.
Get ready … Player 1.
