The History of Philosophy Quarterly publishes a particular type of journal article. According to its editorial statement, the journal specializes in papers “manifesting a strong interaction between contemporary and historical concerns.” This prestigious peer-reviewed journal also appears to have another specialty—publishing articles written by members of the WSU Department of Philosophy. The English Department's First annual Undergraduate Creative Writing Contest in Fiction and Poetry!
Deadline: Monday, March 3, 2014
These contests are open to all undergraduates currently enrolled at Wright State University. Students may submit in both fiction and poetry, but are limited to one entry in each category.
Fiction submissions should include one story, 1000-5000 words, double-spaced.
Poetry submissions should include three poems, single-spaced.

Wright State University’s Center for Urban and Public Affairs, working in partnership with Talbert House, developed a 21-question survey instrument based on questions developed and tested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Ohio Family Health Survey.
