Double Major with Computer Science

DOUBLE MAJOR:
B.A. IN PHILOSOPHY & B.A IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

Interested in pursuing a career in computer science, but also fascinated by the study of philosophy? You don’t have to choose between these two programs of study. Motivated students can earn both a BA in Computer Science and a BA in Philosophy at the same time. With careful planning and the proper preparation, you can complete the requirements for both degrees in four years.

Combining these two programs of study may also improve your career options. Computer programmers and technicians are in high demand. Increasingly, employers are also eager to hire students who have strong training in logic, analytical thinking, effective writing, and communication--all skills emphasized by the Philosophy major.

The philosophy of computing and information technology is also a new academic field for which this double major provides an excellent foundation.
