College Readiness Day

One hundred Logan County high school students who plan be the first in their families to attend college will visit the Wright State campus on January 24th to view models of college-level writing. WSU students will share multimedia presentations from their English composition courses.  Other successful WSU students will answer questions about writing as well as their perceptions of college.  Undergraduate English major Jen Kube will highlight how students can take advantage of Wright State’s First Year Experience peer-mentoring program. The brainchild of Professor Nancy Mack, English, this innovative transition-to-college program is funded in part by a Race to the Top Grant in conjunction with the College of Liberal Arts and the Department of English Language and Literatures.
