Why Choose Environmental Studies?

Do you dream of a career in improving lives through studying the relationship between societies and their environments? Are you driven to learn and apply knowledge of environmental and cultural systems to discover and solve problems affecting society?

Environmental Studies is a flexible degree that gives you a critical foundation in understanding scientific, human, and cultural factors of environmental systems and issues. You’ll follow an interdisciplinary approach, including courses in the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Science and Mathematics, among other interdisciplinary opportunities. This gives you not only expertise in your focus, but also preparation to succeed in a variety of areas and occupations.

Environmental Studies programs include a certificate and a minor.
