  On January 28th, Arabic professor Amira Orr took her Arabic 1020 class to the Rockafield Alumni Center kitchen to teach her students about Middle Eastern food. They made Kofta (Middle Eastern meat balls), Hummus (chick peas dip), Lebna (cheese), salad, Taheena (sesame seed paste), Pita Bread and Green Mint Tea.  The food was delicious and everybody had a great time!

The Arabic program will celebrate its first Immersion Day on Tuesday, March 24th from 8:30 am-1:30 pm. This year, the theme is “Visiting the Classical Arabic Past”. Activities will be centered around the “1001 Nights” and include plays presented by the students, explorations of Levantive Arabic culture, a calligraphy session, and hand painting with henna. On January 16, the Chinese club hosted a farewell party at the Rockafield Alumni Center for a group of exchange professors from Xian University, Shanxi, China.  They came to Wright State University last Fall and stayed for four months.  They have really enjoyed the time at Wright State University and appreciated the warm welcome from our faculty and students. They showed their thanks by making homemade dumplings and Chinese green onion pancakes for us.  The food was absolutely delicious and...
