On February 20th, the French Club organized a cooking class at the Rockafield Alumni Kitchen with "Macaroon Chef" and French student, Xavier Mellor. Students and professors learned how to make delicious chocolate and hazelnut filled macaroons. Everybody also had a chance to taste different flavors like strawberry and white chocolate, orange and dark chocolate and mint macaroons!   Everyone had a great time devouring this popular French desert while having great discussions.

  On January 28th, Arabic professor Amira Orr took her Arabic 1020 class to the Rockafield Alumni Center kitchen to teach her students about Middle Eastern food. They made Kofta (Middle Eastern meat balls), Hummus (chick peas dip), Lebna (cheese), salad, Taheena (sesame seed paste), Pita Bread and Green Mint Tea.  The food was delicious and everybody had a great time!
