The Department of Modern Languages participated in the Spring Raiders Open house. This event was well attended and was hosted at the Student Union on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Professors Cipriano, Broadstock, Du, Doran, Alvarez ,Dona and Chair of the Department, Marie Hertzler were on deck to provide information and talk to new students about the various Modern Languages programs. The College of Liberal Arts is pleased to announce that Professor Mary L. Rucker will be appointed the Chair of the Department of Communication starting July 1, 2015. Dr. Rucker comes to the position with administrative experience as the Communication Studies Degree track chair and former COM 1010 (Essentials of Public Address) director. On February 11th, the Arabic club had a very successful bake sale!  Delicious baklawas, knafas, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered with Halal marshmallows, buckeyes, brownies, s'mores cookies were available for sale. The Arabic club raised $98. The left over goods were offered to the Arabic Club movie night event.
