Departments of Religion, Philosophy, and Classics

Graduate Degree

Students having graduate status at Wright State may take graduate level religion, philosophy, or classics courses. Students wanting to earn a master’s degree at Wright State with an emphasis in religion, philosophy, or classics may do so through the Master of Humanities program. The Master of Humanities program is an interdisciplinary, liberal arts program that permits students to develop a program of study tailored to fit their interests. Emphasizing religious studies, philosophy, or classical studies are options available to students in this program.

Students emphasizing classical studies should have graduate ability in a classical language, either Latin or Greek. Students may need to take undergraduate language classes.

Students who need additional work on their languages before applying to external graduate programs may do so while pursuing a degree in the Master of Humanities program.
