The French Club celebrated the Holiday season on Saturday November 21, 2015 at Professor Daddah's house. Professors Daddah and Abadie cooked a traditional French meal with the students. The feast included some "oeufs mimosa" (hard boiled eggs with homemade mayo),  goat cheese and apple salad, French onion soup with homemade cheese croutons, roasted chicken with fresh herbs and grilled root vegetables and the traditional crepes. The oldest German Club in the Miami Valley, the Dayton Liederkranz-Turner Club, celebrated its 125th anniversary on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Dr. Elfe Dona, Dr. Renate Sturdevant, and students from the WSU German Club prepared for this event by learning German folk dances under the instructions of Lois Lynch. On Monday, November 16 , Amira Orr's ARA 3110 class (Arabic Conversation) went to an Authentic Middle Eastern restaurant "Yaffa Grill" where they were able to practice ordering in a restaurant in the target language in a culturally appropriate manner. The students enjoyed the different Middle Eastern dishes, such as: Kufta, Kabab, Shawarma, Shish Tawook, Hummus, Falafal, Taboulee, Kebbeh, Lebaneh Salad, and Pita.

On November 8, 2015, in honor of St. Martin, a protector of children and patron of the poor, the Dayton German Club, Liederkranz-Turner, hosted a fun-filled afternoon and evening celebrating a century-old German tradition.
