  On November 1st, 2019 the French Business class students visited Dorothy Lane Market, located in Centerville. They met with Calvin Mayne, owner of Dorothy Lane Market. The visit included a tour in French of the supermarket, delivered by Calvin Mayne. They also went through a French bread making demo in the bakery and pastry kitchens. On Friday, October 25th, 2019, the Department of Modern Languages held the Fall semester meeting for prospective and current majors and minors. The students learned about the Study Abroad programs, Graduate Schools applications, Licensure K-12, Scholarships and Internships. The students met with the Faculty while enjoying some international cookies and coffee. It was an enlightening afternoon with the Department of Modern Languages.

On Sunday, September 15, the Chinese Club at WSU hosted the annual Fall semester event, Mid-Autumn Festival at the Fairborn Community Park. The club hosted the free event and provided everything from food to presentations to games and activities. Local and international students from different countries had a chance to learn more about this festival, try Chinese American Food, traditional snacks, play games, win prices and try the special pastry of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the moon cake....

On Friday April 26, eleven students were nominated for lifetime membership in the Wright State chapter of Pi Delta Phi, la Société d’Honneur Française. They met the strict scholastic requirements for membership, having a minimum GPA of 3.25 in their French courses and a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
