Prepare for a rewarding career when you enroll in one of higher education’s most enduring areas of study, Wright State University’s School of Humanities and Cultural Studies (SOHCS). You will join a legacy of education in English, history, religion, philosophy, and classics that extends back to the university’s founding in 1967.

The School of Humanities and Cultural Studies offers students lifelong skills to help them thrive as thoughtful, engaged, and effective citizens of the world. Enroll in one of our programs and learn how to think critically, write clearly, use evidence carefully, and consider different points of view.

Choose an undergraduate degree program from among a wide variety of academic options and concentrations, or add one of our minors or certificate programs to your existing major.

The School of Humanities and Cultural Studies also offers an array of master’s degrees and graduate certificates.

Your classes will provide you with essential life and job skills in such areas as research, writing, critical thinking, argumentation, and culturally sensitive communication. You will benefit from hands-on learning opportunities, including internships and study abroad options. You’ll also be prepared for graduate school, should you choose to continue your education.

Please contact us at the numbers on the bottom of our web pages or, even better, schedule a visit to our welcoming campus.
