Biography:
Sarah Bostic is completing her Master of Humanities degree at Wright State University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wright State in Sociology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Sarah’s academic interests include phenomenology; feminist theoretical approaches to identity; and the intersections of gender, race, class, and ability. In her master’s thesis, she argues that white, working-class men are increasingly alienated from progressive politics through strategies of epistemic injustice, diminishing the credibility, intelligibility, and value of working-class experience and knowledge. Her secondary interests encompass a range of human rights issues, including the ways in which deviations from able-bodied, heterosexual, and other forms of normative bodies are regulated through bio-political discourse. In the future, she hopes to continue her academic development by pursuing a Ph.D.
