Rachel Canter will begin a PhD program in English Literature at George Washington University fall 2020. She is interested in late eighteenth and early nineteenth century novels and translation studies. Her master’s commenting project compares the reception of Jane Austen’s Persuasion and its translation by Isabelle de Montolieu, titled La Famille Elliot.
