Pam Knauert Lavarnway has worked on more than 140 productions during her 32 years at Wright State. Her contributions have been sustained, varied, and exceptional.

Professor Lavarnway has served as chair and in other roles for the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Motion Pictures. She teaches courses in Scenic and Costume Design and Scenic Painting and Decorative Style Through the Ages and has supervised/mentored more than 100 students during the production season. Professor Lavarnway is a nationally recognized master artist whose work has been seen at professional theaters across the United States. She can create her own intricate and beautiful designs as well as teach her students skills that will allow them to successfully seek professional employment. She is an outstanding member of the faculty who will be missed when she retires in 2022.
