Olivia Stidham was selected by the history department as their outstanding student for her enthusiasm and strong record in her history courses. Her professors have noted in particular her original thinking and incisive writing. A recent example of this skill is an insightful comparison of official portraits of Queen Elizabeth I, Madame de Pompadour and Queen Marie Antoinette, in which she analyzed the visual language of female power in the Early Modern era. She has taken numerous challenging honors classes and will be graduating with honors. Congratulations, Olivia.
