Jonathan Thomas

In addition to excelling in his coursework in English: Integrated Language Arts Education, Jonathan Thomas presented research undertaken with program faculty at a professional conference and plans to submit this work to a peer-reviewed journal soon. An avid reader and writer, Jonathan has also been very involved in the department’s annual Language Arts Fair and the Wright State student chapter of the National Council of Teachers of English. Always a creative student, his noteworthy multigenre research project, on the impact of the play Hamilton across generations, incorporated audio collage with the written product. After graduation he plans to pursue an M.F.A. in creative writing, with the ultimate goal of completing a Ph.D. in children's and young adult literature. Jonathan’s understanding of literary form and performance pedagogy will greatly benefit his students in his future teaching career.
