Jennifer Subban is an exceptional leader in service to the university and community in her role as Director of the Nonprofit Administration program. Through her collaborative approach, she has fostered a rich selection of opportunities, service initiatives, professional networks, and community-based learning experiences for students across the university.

Dr. Subban transforms the lives of her students and is personally committed to public service. As director of the Nonprofit Administration certificate program, she recruits and advises students in this demanding, competency-based curriculum that includes service-oriented courses, a 300-hour internship, and active involvement in the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association. Dr. Subban consistently helps faculty secure grant funding for their own student philanthropy initiatives. Her commitment to serving the local community is no secret, as evidenced by her 2012 Dayton YWCA Women of Influence Award. Dr. Subban’s reach spreads beyond the Dayton region; her creation of the Wright LEAD South Africa program has enabled countless students and community members to travel to Durban to provide community-based leadership development for their youth.
