Jamie “Austin” Griffin

Study Abroad Scholarship Recipient

Austin is a third-year student at Wright State pursuing his B.A. in French with a minor in German and English. He plans to graduate in spring of 2018 with the designation of University Honors Scholar. Next year, he plans to study abroad for the entire year in both France and Germany through the University Study Abroad Consortium. He will spend the fall in Pau, France while studying at the University of Pau and will spend the spring in Luneburg, Germany at the Leuphana University each time staying with a host family.  Austin believes that there is no other experience that could be a more perfect culmination of his studies than to be able to live and absorb the language and culture of his target languages in the most authentic context possible and very much looks forward to this experience.
