Marcia G. Muller Study Abroad Scholarship Recipient

Jacqueline Gill is pursuing her M.A. in Public Administration and works in the Urban Affairs office on campus. Studying abroad has been a dream of hers for decades and she is happy that there is finally an opportunity that can be applied towards her educational and professional goals. The educational trip to Manipal, India this summer will focus on changing gender roles and human rights in India’s new economy while also teaching the Declaration of Human Rights to numerous groups of women in India. Through this program she will have the opportunity to meet with different groups of women, students, faculty, and non-government organizations. This experience will help enrich her cultural competency which she feels is especially valuable and important for her career goals of working with children, women, and families.
