About

Hunter Minor

Theatre, Dance and Motion Pictures
Recognition Year:
2020-21

From Pickerington, Ohio, Hunter Minor is your everyday, midwestern, charcuterie-loving, older brother, who happened to fall in love with the world of Theatre. He fell down the rabbit hole when he saw Alice in Wonderland at Pickerington Community Theatre, inspiring him to audition for their production of Bye Bye Birdie. After his 37 bar cut of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” and a flawless dance call in his soccer sneakers, Minor booked the role of Randolph McAfee. He seamlessly transitioned from a sports kid to a theatre regular throughout the Columbus arts scene, culminating in his admittance to his dream college program at Wright State University. Minor was seen in Urinetown, Crazy For You, If/Then, The Addams Family (Gomez), and was about to open Mamma Mia before the pandemic. He also was seen in Angels in America, The Normal Heart, and many Jubilee Directing Lab shows, also serving as the Artistic Director of WSU Class of 21’s StuCab. Next, Hunter will be moving in with his partner of 5 years, Dylan, to the Short North in Columbus, where he’ll work with Short North Stage in anticipation for New York to recover in time for his next act.
