About

Daniel Warshawsky (2022)

Outstanding Faculty Professional Service Award
Recognition Year:
2022

As director of Wright State’s Master of Public Administration program, Daniel Warshawsky led the effort to redesign the program and reinvigorate it, merging it with the Master of Arts in Applied Behavioral Sciences.

It is due to Dr. Warshawsky’s thoughtful and inclusive manner that he was able to bring people together to collaborate in this early, important example of what can come out of the College of Liberal Arts reorganization. Moreover, Dr. Warshawsky, an associate professor of geography and expert on food insecurity, devotes a great deal of his time to service in Raider Country. He serves on the boards of the Healthy People Committee, the West Dayton Food Access Collective Impact Program, and the Raider Food Pantry Advisory Board. In recognition of his efforts, Dr. Warshawsky has been named Wright State University’s 2022 Frederick A. White Distinguished Professor of Service.
