Syeda Prem Ara Bahar is pursuing a master’s degree in public administration. She passionately studies the effects of climate change on politics and governmental policies. Syeda is an advocate for women’s participation in community development. During an internship at the East End Community Services (EECS), she helped the community to develop strategies to reduce drug abuse in the neighborhood and she assisted with a redevelopment plan of vacant properties. At Wright State, Syeda serves as the president of Raiders Community, fundraising director of Golden Key International Honour Society, and event organizer of the Bangladesh Student Association. This spring she was awarded a travel grant to attend an international leadership summit in Australia. Upon completion of her degree, Syeda wants to join public service as an urban planner and incorporate robust environment-friendly ideas in city planning to eradicate the issues related to climate change.
