Stephen Monath

While excelling at his studies, Stephen Monath has been Director of the Wright State Pep Band, has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention for the Collegiate Showcase Concert, and has performed with the Lakeside Chautauqua Symphony. Stephen is an in-demand music educator, drill designer, and percussion composer/arranger. Currently, he is the director of percussion for Tipp City, having previously served as assistant band director. Under his leadership the program has earned the silver medal at state finals, which will move the program into a higher competition classification for next year. While at Wright State, Stephen has also worked on the percussion staff for Capitol City Regiment (WGI), Pioneer Drum and Bugle (DCI), as well as serving as a consultant for numerous other programs. He has also served as assistant sectional coach for OMEA All State Band, coordinated percussion for Tri-State Honor Band, and has served as a clinician and sectional coach for numerous district honor bands.
