Samantha Wood

Biography:

Samantha Wood is a rare student who exemplifies the model of effective service learning. Not only is she an outspoken and hard-working student in the classroom, she also improves the lives of her fellow students with her work on campus. Her list of jobs is impressive: Resident Assistant; student mentor for the Center for International Education; former President of the National Society of Leadership and Success; and former Treasurer for the Association of Native American Students. She has also practiced her history skill set in the public sector, working as an intern for the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center. Samantha will be graduating with Honors in History. She is completing a senior thesis entitled “Women Religious and their Relationship to Church Patriarchy in the Middle Ages.” Congratulations, Samantha.
