Art and Art History

Sally Struthers is a versatile and dedicated adjunct member of the faculty in the Department of Art and Art History.

Dr. Struthers came to Wright State after a distinguished career as a professor, chair, and dean at Sinclair Community College, bringing a wealth of knowledge in art history, particularly Renaissance Studies, as well as an insider’s understanding of course development, emerging pedagogies, and strategies for student success. A professional photographer who has shown her work extensively, she brings an artist’s unique perspective to her teaching. In addition to teaching courses in general art appreciation, non-western art, women artists, and the history of photography, Dr. Struthers has selflessly devoted extra time and effort to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education, particularly through her pioneering development of rich online courses that make full use of the visual medium.
