Rachel Canter

If there's anything you want to know about F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel The Great Gatsby just ask Rachel Canter, who has made it the centerpiece of her honors project. Rachel is one of the department’s strongest English majors of the past decade. She reads voraciously, her grasp of difficult theoretical concepts is quick and intuitive, and her writing is nearly flawless. She has been an active member of the Wright State community, serving as both a tutor in the Writing Center and an energetic member of Alpha Upsilon Tau, the department's chapter of the International English Honor Society.  Rachel will begin her master's degree in English Literature at Wright State next fall.
