Leadership Scholarship Recipient
Mara Burnett is working on her BA in Business Management, Human Resources, and Music Education as well as an Arts Management Certificate at Wright State University. Learning piano has given her many opportunities in the community. She has accompanied musicals for Tecumseh and Dixie High School. From 2017-2019 Mara also accompanied the congregation at Brookville First United Methodist Church where she was also able to volunteer her time to start a children’s choir. Mara has given several piano lessons to students preparing for Solo and Ensemble. She has studied tuba and euphonium and held the position of treasurer in the Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble for 3 years. Mara plans to become a general music teacher. She wants to run a private studio teaching piano, voice, tuba, and euphonium.
