History

Chris Wydham has contributed for nearly a decade to our high-quality, innovative concentration in Public History. He has taught numerous courses including Records and Information Management, Introduction to Archives and Manuscripts, and Public History Field Study. He has also mentored Public History students interning at the library’s Special Collections and Archives. 

Mr. Wydham has contributed greatly to the core mission of the university through his demonstrated excellence in teaching and student engagement. He teaches classes that are critically important for the professional training of his students, and he provides them with crucial, practical knowledge drawn from his full-time position as Archivist and Records Manager for Wright State’s Dunbar Library. Students praise his ability to explain difficult content effectively and in great detail. His combination of subject matter expertise and real world experience enhance his students’ chances of landing quality internships and jobs. Mr. Wydham empowers students to develop professionally, intellectually, and personally, and his efforts have helped Public History—one of the oldest such programs in the country—achieve a national reputation.
