Recognition Year:
2018–19

A second-year M.P.A. student, Chelsie Spoor is also the Director of Resource Development for Miami Valley Community Action Partnership. Chelsie's passion for philanthropy and public service began at the early age of thirteen when she served on a youth advisory board for a local community foundation, and continued through her undergraduate years, when she joined Wright State’s Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, becoming engrained in the close-knit nonprofit community in the Miami Valley. She also made two service-learning trips to Durban, South Africa, and completed two meaningful internships. While pursuing her M.P.A., she consulted for the West Dayton Food Access Collective Impact Project with Dayton and Montgomery County Public Health, and Homefull. Chelsea’s goal is to be a trail-blazer in the nonprofit sector.
