Abby Rutan

Study Abroad Scholarship Recipient

Abby Rutan is a junior history major and a French and art history minor. After hearing about the opportunity to take a class on the history and culture of France while living within its borders, she knew she wanted to take that adventure. She worked hard to raise the funds on her own and is excited to be able to be a part of the Ambassador Program to Paris. She is eager to see the works of Rembrandt and Michelangelo in person, as well as her favorite work of art The Birth of Venus by French realist Willaim-Adolphe Bouguereau. She is also looking forward to immersing herself in the history of the country and seeing historical monuments such as the Arc de Triomphe and the Palace of Versailles.
