The Department of Modern Languages at the Spring Raiders Open House!

Dr. Mary L. Rucker to be named Chair of Department of Communication
The College of Liberal Arts is pleased to announce that Professor Mary L. Rucker will be appointed the Chair of the Department of Communication starting July 1, 2015. Dr. Rucker comes to the position with administrative experience as the Communication Studies Degree track chair and former COM 1010
Contemporary a cappella singing camp for collegiate and high school students, adults and professionals, will return to Wright State June 23–28.

Arabic Club Bake Sale
On February 11th, the Arabic club had a very successful bake sale! Delicious baklawas, knafas, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered with Halal marshmallows, buckeyes, brownies, s'mores cookies were available for sale. The Arabic club raised $98. The left over goods were offered to the

Distinguished Visiting Artist Keith Lockhart has served as conductor of the Boston Pops since 1995 and principal conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra since 2010.
Conductor Keith Lockhart will teach master classes with School of Music students and conduct the "War Requiem" with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus and Wright State Choirs.
Chinese Club: Traditional Paper Crafts
The Chinese Club was creative this month! On Friday February 20th, the club members and friends made traditional paper cutting crafts to celebrate the year of the Sheep. The Chinese Spring Festival was on February 19 th this year, making Friday February 20th, the second day of the lunar New Year
