On Friday April 10th, 2015, five students were nominated for lifetime membership in the Wright State chapter of Delta Phi Alpha.
The purpose of Delta Phi Alpha is to recognize outstanding achievement in the German language and its literatures, and to enlarge the appreciation for the cultural contributions of the German-speaking world, and to promote German cultural activities.

The Wright State students and Chinese club members enjoyed a demonstration and mini-lesson from martial arts master Benny Meng this past Friday. Meng, an instructor from a local martial arts school, introduced the students to the philosophy and practice of martial arts from the Shaolin temple. The students learned to focus on the moment, relax, and respond to an assailant. Of course, Meng’s best advice concerning self-defense is to avoid danger before the need for martial arts arises.

On April 7th, 2015, French Instructor, Ben Hirt, from the Department of Modern Languages taught the French Club members how to make delicious French butter at the Rockafield Alumni Center kitchen.
Everybody had a great time, not only speaking French in a relaxed atmosphere, but also, and most importantly, making and tasting some homemade and delicious butter, enjoyed with French Baguette.

A select group of Communication Studies majors have been chosen to accompany Associate Professor Dr. Marie Thompson to the Seventh Annual Medical-Spirituality Conference at Sinclair Community College on Thursday, April 16.
