Deborah Kahn: Paintings and Drawings

Kahn is an award winning painter and draftsman whose works earned her a Guggenheim Fellowship for painting in 2004. Kahn uses bright hues with many small brush strokes that mute and blend the tones of abstracted figurative forms. Kahn is professor emeritus of The American University in Washington, D.C.

The Galleries will exhibit photographic works by award winning photojournalists and documentary photographers Ziyah Gafić, Jessica Hines, Louie Palu, and Larry Price in recognition of the twentieth anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords and the 10th annual Dayton Literary Peace Prize Conference. The exhibition and related events are part of the CELIA conference "ACCORDS: Peace, War, and the Arts"

Golden Magic Art Hour
The 'Golden' or 'Magic' hour is considered the first and last hour of sunlight during the day by photographers. Stein Galleries presents a monthly student art-making event featuring DIY projects, ink drawing, and collaging with light and form. Free event, open to everyone. Popcorn and most materials provided.
