Take the Next Step
Finding the right college means finding the right fit. See all that the College of Liberal Arts has to offer by visiting campus.
Endings and Eternities features recent work by artist, educator, and arts organizer Ashley Jude Jonas. Jonas' freestanding sculptures and wall works reflect her immediate and personal environment while also mirroring shared experiences and longings of others, especially in light of the past two years of loss, isolation, and limitations. The work offers refuge in the beauty of things we often overlook, in the heightened awareness of the space that surrounds us, through delicate shapes and the quiet manipulations of materials, both traditional and new. The exhibition will include a new series of wall works, which incorporate ceramic components made with her neighbors and friends that evoke the power of interconnectedness between people, places, and the objects we share our lives with. This exhibition is supported in part by a Dayton Region Arts Renewal grant funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and administered by Culture Works.
